I am in awe that you have taken on such a challenge and look forward to seeing you at your farm to hear all the stories.
Oom Paul ek haal my hoed af....well done en voorspoed vir die res van die trip.

We left early at Plet to remain ahead of the approaching front..If not, will have to stay here for another 2 days..!! ( I wont mind!!!)
Our route took us along the coast for a while and then inland to Uitenhage where Erika hanger her trike..It was not a pleasant flight. Some serious hopping was done..and to make it worse my GPS went flat...
From Uitenhage along the coast for a while, then over the Addo National park and eventually Gbrahamstown came into view..Smooth along the coast and windy inland....We landed in a headwind of 35 kph and I was stationary within 25 m after toutch down. The bar was pushing very hard against my body. Larry and Christian came running towards me to grab hold of the wing, otherwise ...?????
At Ghrahamstown I will need to rest and get my washing done..I stay with a relative buddy and have wheels to my disposal....
My plan is to fly to Hamburg in the Ciskei and try to find a landing place close to my nephew,s beach-house.. From there on toward EastLondon ( a short hop) and the Transkei and the KwaZulu-Natal coastline..I got a map and a laptop on the Passengers seat and will find my way as I go forward...
Thanks to Larry, Sharron, Christian, Erika and Len and our ground -team for all the patience and help..From here onwards I will be alone and will surely miss all your help..!!!...
Ek praat jou thaal...

Hi, Today Sunsay 18 July..
Left Grahamstown on 16 July..a Short hop of 45 nm. to Hamburg..A beautifull lyttle village next to lake and rivermouth in the Ciskei..unspoiled by development ect..Wind was on my tail late afternoon and caused me to reach groundspeed of 75nm ph. Not always very comfortable to fly at that speed because there are no landing strip in Hamburg and if the sittuation warrents me to fly back to Port Alfred it would be very difficult to achieve against the wind as I left Gtown late afternoon due to wind.
Landing was a bit of a mess and after second attempt mannage to land next to the laggoon instead of a strip of solid sand..!!...Windsheer coming over huge dune drifted me out to loose sand and I came to a stop after 20 m. in wet sand.!!.. See pics.s
Staying over for two days..
Took a few locals for flip,s this morning and became a hero in matter of hours..!!!
Plan is to leave for Kobs Inn, a village in Transkei, tomorrow and stay over for one night..
Thanks for reading my notes..!!!Will post some pics and tell you more later on..
Ek praat jou thaal...

Het toe so gemaak..
Ek suffer aan n toestant wat bekend staan as.."waar is my G.P.S.??"...

As jy egter wil verder gaan stop eerder by Margate.
Lekker vlieg!!!
Glo my Paul ons almal volg jou storie byna daagliks.
