Going solo

Postby Bennie Vorster » Thu Jan 05, 2006 3:56 pm

Hope to be next.
Sitting on 9.2 Hours on my Windlass 503.
But I must say. The way I see it, it is more about how you put down this little contraption than making it next.

You're right Bennie, just make sure you keep the number of landings equal to the number of takeoffs and you will be fine  :D

Hi Bennie,

I have been watching Wart during his last couple of lessons - "me thinks" that he's next.

We are all planning to drown Wart in beer next week.

JY, glad to hear you got the beer truck lined up; there are a few on microlighers who have been getting very thirsty waiting for me!!

By the way JY, welcome to Cato. I know that you will enjoy the enthusiam and spirit of the all the guys (and gals). Hope to see you in the sky soon.

Just a quick update guys

I did my solo this morning. -0< All went well; slight cross wind caused a goose walk on the tar strip the first time around. Except for that, nothing to write home about.

Must say, with the 105 kg of my instructor less on the tryke it felt like a rocket when I took off the first time. The bar also came backwards about 100 mm to neutral position and I still have to get used to that as well.

So yes, that was it. Who is next :?:

Wx still not playing the game with me. Maybe this weekend it will calm down enough?
