Buffelsfontein Breakfast 24 August 2008

Postby gertcoetzee » Sat Aug 09, 2008 3:54 pm

Join us for breakfast at Buffelsfontein Sunday Morning. We are going to try and get away from Wintervogel by 9am.

The coordinates for the road/runway is 18°13'31.44"E 33°16'6.63"S - land and taxi towards the northern buildings, and park where this road makes it's bend east, ie well before the lion enclosure.

See you there!

Hi Gert - was great to meet you and the "Wintervogel gang" this morning at Buffelsfontein. It was the first time my wife and I have been there and it's a really lekker breakfast fly-in spot - plus they're very microlight friendly! vhpy

Had a great breakfast - 4 (+2) from Wintervogel , and myself - joined later by Learjet and his wife in their gyro.

The "runway" is a road, which has recently been scraped, and at the moment has quite a curve to it. We all landed downwind, which makes for a fast landing with little room for error between the bushes. The southern tip of the "runway" has more space to the sides, and I suppose is better, with a longer taxi to breakfast.
