Sorry for the silence...
I would LOVE to go next year but unfortunetly I don't have an MPL or trike!
I want to see if me, louis, my dad and maybe Rae henderson could go in two different trikes. (I'm not holding my breath!)
I don't have SPL as I am not 16, so will i be allowed to fly with an instructor?

Thanks

By the nature of the beast you are climbing, you are always allowed to fly with instructor. Rather get your training in order, before you do someting like that. It might (I'm not saying it will) shift your focus a bit. It is always better to complete your training with instructor, to learn some good habits, before going on a expedition, and get caught by the hype of the event.

I'm also considering this event. Must be fun. It is a few hours flying from cape town. But I guess it can be planned. 2 up and 2 down.

Thanks Wargames,
I will think of that, i just think it would be loads of fun to go as a kid before i become an old fart like all of you!  (**)
I don't think it would shift my focus, well maybe just a bit, but a chance to do proper expedition flying and meet up with all the guys just makes me feel happy and cheerful inside (Profound i know...).

You don't know what you are talking about. I might be double your age, but only just, and proud of it.

Trikenut

"Brass ballas"

Once you've reached that point come fly with the "ou toppies".

Listen to the ou manne. You'l be flying all weather conditions and push youself way over the limit. If you are not fully fit(mentaly & phisicaly) you will open youself up to error.

I do agree with Wargames , it will shift your focus.Better get you'r training behind and do a few short trips. Gives you Plenty of time to train yourself.

Cheers

Agree with Charlie Whiskey. Get the training behind you and build up some hours before hitting the big trips. I have been on the KBB and it is brilliant but the weather can also have you shi##ing yourself. I would hate to see your enthusiasm snuffed out so early in your flying career.

Cheers,

Hi All,

We will be looking at re-launching the Kalahari Bundu Bash in 2013, this now all depending on the amount of interest we receive by the 28th of February 2013. This will be, since the last once in 2005, the 20th Bundu Bash organised by Mamma & Pappa Kalahari. Proposed dates will be 11 - 16 June 2013. Arrive on the Tuesday in Upington, Depart on Wednesday for the BBash and back on Sunday in Upington.

Let's make this a 20th Bundu Bash no one will forget!

Look forward to your feedback, the price and entry will soon be available on the website, we will keep you posted

Count me in. Done it a couple of times trike and fixed wing. Really was fun and absolutely worthwhile. The coolest thing was the comaraderie and flexible agenda, freedom , and just letting your hair down. Everyone was on the same page... this is a must.
