Delmas Cosmos Run - 28 March 2015

Postby mulderpm » Sun Mar 22, 2015 4:07 pm

As discussed at the braai on Saturday, the Tailwinds are planning to do our annual Cosmos run next weekend the 28th March 2015. The plan is, wheels up around 6 ish, then to Etwatwa, for a special delivery, and onwards to the fields just to the south of Delmas. They seem to be the best every year. Then, land at Delmas for a cup of coffee, and some k@k praat, and then back again. Hopefully the pilots from Springs and Petit will join us again. All pilots are obviously very welcome to join in. Lets make this year a big one. (^^) (^^)

PS: It looks like the rain we are have is speeding up, and improving, the number of flowers. If last year is to go by, once peaked, the flowers do not last long. The 28th seems to be a good weekend to go see/smell them. ($$) ($$)

South of Delmas, S26.32045 E28.66122. And S26.28886 E28.67014. But in that area the flowers have been good. Etwatwa S26.12463 E28.45013.

What a great turn out. Thanks to all that joined in. Counted in excess of 13 trikes and 3 fixed wing planes in total at Delmas. The flowers were great but we have seen better. Maybe they haven't peaked yet... (**) Thanks to D and David for taking the pictures.
