Postby mulderpm » Mon Aug 18, 2014 1:10 pm

To all pilots, families and friends, Microland will be doing a Breakfast on Saturday the 13th September 2014. We will be providing a buffet type breakfast, with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and coffee/tea/hot chocholate.....fly in or drive in....just join us.

Breakfast will be served from 07H00 onwards and will cost R50 per person. All profits will go towards the urgent maintenance of the lapa and facilities. xxx

See you all on 13th September 2014 s023

Thanks Johan. Much appreciated. There have been a few requests from pilots in your neck of the woods for a breakfast at Microland. The 3rd Saturday of the month braai starts too late for them to fly in....understandably so. Chain Gang...you comming? We will start serving breakfast when the first plane arrives..

Thanks Alan. D & myself won't be back until the 8 Sept. If you guys can get the gas sorted and cleaned. Nick has already offered to get some pipes, sandblasting and gas bottles organized. There are also the two, two head gas stoves. I have some steel plates, if needed.

Mervyn told me 17 has been marked "XXX"...I'm not sure about 35? (wasn't marked when I saw it last ^ )

Registered runways are 03/21 and 09/27 (^^) Remember 17/35 is actually a taxiway... but can be used if conditions prefer....

17/35 = pilots own discretion (closed at the moment, surface is fine but fence in close proximity! Emergency only. 8) )

Looking forward to this, have posted to FB as well. (!!)

With all the runway complications, I think I'll do a flypast at Microland, land at Kittyhawk, and devour the whole chocolate cake myself
