10 May Swartkops Airshow

Postby Alpha » Thu Apr 17, 2014 11:23 am

Hi All,

I see on facebook this morning, Aviation Central posted about the events and happenings on the day at the Airshow. One thing in particular they mention is that the day begins with "paragliders, Microlights and a glidr will grace our skies"...

Does anyone know about this? (**) (**)

Sounds like the 2012 agenda that we participated in. Would be nice if they invited us agaian.

Maybe, Les (mcfly) who gracefully organised the 2012 fly-by, can tell us if anything is happening?

I was at Swartkops during the week and the officer in command said that they work with Les and there is microlights going. When I asked if I can go they said we have to work for Les.

Hi All,

I spoke to Les and he assured me, there will be no microlights flying in and opening the show....so once again thanks to the Guptas we have no fun... ## ##

Thanks Gary. Looks like the organisers will rather say no to civilian participation than take a chance and alow it. (**) Hopefully this cautiousness will wear off soon.
