Groblersdal Flying Club Breakfast. 1 March

Postby Neophron » Fri Feb 21, 2014 7:08 am

The "Macnificent Men and their Flying Machines" of the Groblersdal Flying Club are flying to one of their "outposts" on the 1st of March to enjoy a delicious country breakfast.
They will be leaving the comfort of the FAGL circuit to fly to a cozy little airfield, Aasvoëlnes, 3nm SW of FAMI (Marble Hall) to sit down at around 07:00(Bravo) and enjoy a plate of fresh from the farm wholesomeness.
So what will they find at Aasvoëlnes: A hangar, a windsock, runway 03-21 (400m Gravel) and crossing that runway 13-31 (400m Gravel) and some friendly faces ready to take them to the Wildevy farm stall just up the road where the feast will be ready.
Why am I telling you this you ask? Because all you brave and beautiful pilots out there are most welcome to join us in our beloved Bushvelt and see for your self why we love flying around here.
So if you can land and take of again, with a full tummy, in 400m you are most welcome to join us. vhpy
If this sounds a bit short for your fragile brakes please feel free to divert to FAMI and it's 1000m tar strip (RW 04-22). Just let us know that you will be landing at FAMI we need to come and fetch you because it is a long walk to the Wildevy.
Please, please, please let u know that you are coming if you want more than a warm welcome and a smile. Don't let us send you away hungry because you did not let us know you were coming.

Aasvoëlnes: S 25° 1,25'
E 029° 14.35'
RW 03-21 (400m gravel) House, big trees and a power line on TH of 03.
RW 13-31 (400m gravel) Look out for power line on APP to 31
Elevation: 3000Ft

Ps. This is also Blue Max's playground 9miles to the west of FAMI next to the Elands river if you want to buzz him.

On hoor graag van julle.!!
En Bundy en Paul en, en, en, julle crowd is due om weer daai trikes uit die hangers te haal en iets aan te pak.

Last chance to let us know you are flying in on Saturday. Even if their is the slightest possibility of you coming please give us a heads up. We know you are watching the weather, but the owner of the Wildevy is doing this on special request and they need to be prepared. An egg left on the shelf is better than egg on the face?

So who's coming? Where are the Potties guys? Are you not flying any more?
