Bundy - change the batteries...

It aint the batteries boet.... wish it was! Radio been sent in for a check up and to repair the charging jack pin...then the whole comms set up will be gone through with a fine tooth comb to isolate and find the problem.

Hopefully by next week we will be sorted....and heard!

Alan, I recollect your advice when my spat was broken......your radio does not create lift. I have a spare Icom you can borrow if you like.

Found the earthing problem on my aeries radio. The 12 V barrel plug has to be of specific dimensions, especially the length of the insulating plastic at the tip. Most of these plugs have too long plastic tips and then the earth (negative) does not make contact. The radio however still gets its earth via the aerial. Not ideal.

James, I have 3 spare bedrooms, with double beds and fresh, crisp, linen, you can choose from. Up to you. Oh,.... you will however have to participate in the k@@lg@t part we have every Saturday evening.

A big thanks to Alex Rudd for giving us his time and expertise yesterday. A very thorough "stripshow" indeed.

I thank all who attended and I hope you all left with a belly full of food and a better understanding of the 582 engine. I'm especially appreciative of the effort made by the Potties Patrollie who always join us despite the long drive.

I look forward some more episodes in 2014.

1) To help us understand our machines better as we put our life's on the line every time we get in them.
