I had a request to invite up to 10 Trikes (This is the maximum parking space they can accommodate) for a fly in to this event.
This is the mail I have received:
We had a very successful International Vulture Awareness Day at Nyoka Ridge Vulture restaurant. This year (Saturday 7th Sept) we want to make it bigger and better.
It would be great to have you attend and we invite up to 10 Trikes to fly in and where one of our aims is to educate pilots about the plight of the vultures as well as the dangers associated with collisions. After all the aircraft are on the ground then we feed the vultures and so expect up to 300 to land at the vulture restaurant 250 meters from where we will all be....
We will also have talks about the Magaliesburg Biosphere (Vincent Curruthers - Magaliesburg book fame), Mike Howe (collided with vulture, he will again give an aerial display again) and a number of booths representing BirdLife, Rotary, Bateleurs (flying for the environment); Honorary Rangers of SANParks (highlighting the plight of the rhino), the Wildlife Society (WESSA) and others.
Miss Earth will be there to wow the crowds, as she did last year (see photos).
We will again hold a pledge your body (Recycle) to the vultures and which activity should thoroughly engrossed all.... although maybe it will again be Miss Earth who is the attraction.... nevertheless, an excellent way of getting people to really think about wildlife and the environment.....
Important: Please book a space here on Microlighters if you plan to join the fly in. 10 spaces available

Hi Airhog,
I would have loved to have been there, unfortunately my trike is a little incomplete currently...
Anyone who is going who has an open back seat, I would be there like a bear...
Cheers
Craig
