The Road to Tedderfield (Cancelled)

Postby Bundy » Thu Aug 15, 2013 12:55 pm

Time to get down to business....

Misasa's EXCO have set up a Sub Committee whose task it shall be to plan our annual flagship event for next year.

The SubComittee (SC) consists of the following people.

Marius Nel (Misasa Events)
John Boucher (Misasa PRO internal)
Gordon Howell (FATA management)
Alan Mackenzie (Misasa Publications)
Alan Hussey (Misasa PRO External)
Brett Hickman (Misasa Treasurer)

The preliminary dates we have decided upon are the 7th to the 9th of February 2014. (^^)

We have learnt a great deal from the previous two editions and we are striving to improve our our past efforts to ensure we can build on this popular festival of flight. :)
The event will as it always has been, be open to all members of the AeCSA and their families/friends.
We encourage all Manufacturers to come to the event and display their wares.
We will again have a mini airshow component, lectures, static and aerial displays, aviation goods and a flight line filled with flying machines! (^^)

I will use this thread to keep you all informed of the arrangements as they fall into place.

Right now, all you need to do is BOOK THOSE DATES!

Those Manufacturers and aviation related suppliers who wish to be a part of the event can contact me at pro@misasa.org

Book your slots early! vhpy

I look forward to being a part of the excitement as we head off towards another great rendition.

Chat soon folks.

I can't wait for this one (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Can I just add a suggestion. Now that you have mentioned the date and the year is 2014  It feels like a year away :?

How about a warm up event before hand, say in October? We have to practise before the main event don't you think (**)

So?...what's wrong with you okes?

Piet you can organise one into FAWB... and Johan can paint the Kroon strip red for us one morning too! (^^)

Jokes aside, October you should all be planning to hit Secunda on the 12th for their Airshow! (^^)

What you guys are beginning to see, is Misasa's goal of slowly building these events around the country. As you read in the NL, we will be planning events throughout the country with the essential help of the locals....It takes time and serious planning guys. :)

After Tedders 2014, we will have our AGM "Let it Shine" fly in (you would have to do some serious convincing to make me choose a different spot to Kitty Hawk) and then we are planning a big event down on the coast for mid May...most likely Wings Park, EL. (^^) There will also be a Misasa Event at Potties Next year...(we just havent told Nicow yet! )

But....they will all have their own threads chaps....for now it's full steam ahead to FATA. (!!) (^^)

I dont want to spoil the surprise untill it's finalised but all I'm gonna say right now is that those of you who religeously pay your Misasa fees on time every year...stand a chance to be rewarded come Tedders 2014. (^^)

Watch this space! (!!)

I hope to have the provisional programme out by end next week with the August NL as well. (^^)

Guys, believe me, you'll want to be a paid up member before Tedderfield 2014. One very lucky member is going to be very well rewarded. Keep watching this space for the big announcement!!
