Upon producing my proof of membership, I was expecting a deduction of R175 from my bill. :?: The reception staff did not know what I was talking about. Dish or Willem will have to explain how it worked.

As a newbie at this event, I can say to all those that have not attended Numbi... Guys You HAVE to be there...

I will be back next year, this time actually competing, and not just sitting in the background...

A very Big thanks to all the organizers, and all those who encouraged a somewhat nervous newbie to get his butt in the air...

Cheers

Thank you to all who attended.

Special thanks to the pilots that competed in good spirit despite some challneging wx conditions on Saturday.

And the laughs in the pub ## ...and the late nights (^^) ...and the early morning flights xxx ...despite Skin theratening us the previous night to be there for the early Kruger fence inspection....... and then not turning up to fly... ($$)

Perfect flight down, excellent event, plenty of laughs, perfect flight back up - what more could anyone ask for (!!)

Thank you all, we really had a great time!

I fully agree with Craig, this was my first taste of the Africa Cup, awesome people, awesome event. vhpy. I must confess, I was nervous and extremely cautious of flying to Numbi as a first timer, but was ready to go for it! However, when evaluating the weather reports and comments on the forum Thursday evening before departure, I decided to drive and attend. In hindsight, flying would have been o/k, but based on info at the time, my decision (and it was my own) was correct
I've learned a helluva lot (wing rigging with Craig, meeting all the forum guys, and experiencing the true cameraderie between microlighters). Not forgetting that I survived the initiation
My son Kevin took awesome photographs, I will soon publish the link to his facebook/website page, where all the pictures can be viewed, and arrangements can be made with him.
Once again, thank you to all involved. I'll be back.... (^^)
