Thunderbirds to the Drakensberg

Postby Air Hog » Tue Sep 11, 2012 12:52 pm

All Thunderbird Owners

This used to be a tradition for Thunderbirds to congregate at the Drakensberg for a weekend of Fun Flying so we have decided to rekindle this.

We are planning a trip to the Drakensberg to see how many Thunderbirds we can get together. I have discussed this with Trevor Davies and he is very keen.

At this stage we are looking at 1st of May to the 5th of May 2013. The 1st is a public holiday. That will give us 5 days of flying.

Please post your name and registration here if you are interested so that we can get an idea of what the response is.

Change of dates: 1st to 5th of May 2013. Apparently this is the best flying weather of the year for the Berg area.

the 'Berg is a great place to visit

a group of us flew up to Winterton on Sunday for the annual EAA waffle hut fly in with the RV Brigade (^^) (^^)

fantastic flying with beautiful scenery alongside the mountains which were sprinkled with snow again!

I highly recommend the experience and of course if you do all manage to come down this way a visit to Eva's Field is compulsory ## ##

hope to see you guys down here next year vhpy vhpy

oh yes! I also owned a Thunderbird many years ago, ZS-VPS

anybody know if it is still around?

Ek sal hierdie saak by die huis eers moet deurwerk.!!!
Maar naruurliksal ek wil saam!!!
