WEATHER PERMITTING! I will be flying down to my fellow Vulture's Nest - Elands Quad Camp, on 3 December. I will return on 4 December. He is the oldest and wisest
of the Vultures, and I have not visited his Nest yet in 2011.This is a very relaxed and non-demanding expedition. Also, the VS is scared of kak weather - so we will cancel if thinks look bad - and Blue Max, knowing all about kak weather from own experience, will not judge us if we cancel.
The previous paragraph is put in specifically to encourage "patch-flyers" who yearn to get away to participate. Please join in - we consider all pilots equal - whether you have 1 hour, 100 hours, 1000 hours or 10 000 hours since your licence. Also - we don't care whether your trike carries a 503, 582, a 912, a diesel engine or a mini-nuclear reactor - if it flies - you can join.
The flight plan will takes us over Loskopdam, then into the valley - then onto Groblersdal and Blue Max' s Nest, on Saturday morning.
For the rest of the day we will drink beer.
Sunday morning will see us back over Rust de Winter - then on to your respective field.
Already spoke to Blue Max - he is waiting for us. I have some special ideas about food / dop etc - but will post this later.
