Sien jou dalk die naweek,
Groete,

Guys,
I flew over there yesterday.
Please be careful. Although the actual runway is around 700m long, there is what looks like a much longer runway, but has a wire fence cutting the cleared bit in half. Could be very dangerous if you think you have 1400m to play with.
I strongly urge organisors to clearly mark that fence with banner tape or something which can be see from the air.

Hi Guys
This is my runway, although I am not the organiser of the day. Details are as follows:
Runway is 03/21 - 700m gravel/sand. Prefered approach on 03, slight uphill, and PLEASE be aware of power lines & telephone lines 50m back from threshold of 03 - land a little deep to be safe. Orange Windsock at the junction of the crossing runway. I have just graded the runway and if we do not get any rain before Saturday, it is all usable. The NE 350 m of runway is flat and CANNOT be used after heavy rain. Right at the moment it is stable and usable. The fence accross the middle has been removed, and is only there for cattle management when needed. After landing park on the cross runway near the hangar. FLY SAFE AND PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THE POWER LINES ON THE APPROACH TO 03.

Hi Guys
To add to my last post - I notice the co-ordinates given are not quite right and indicate that the runway is South of the Tar Road. The runway is 500 m North of the tar road and the correct co-ordinates to punch in are:
S 25 12 00
E 28 31 23
Looking forward to seeing you all.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE POWERLINES ON THE APPROACH TO 03.
