Re: COSMOS RUN 2010 26-28 March
I'm extremely disappointed that we missed out this year
I feel terrible that we did not show on Friday or Saturday we had trikes fueled and ready to go, the only holdback was the weather , very unpredictable on Friday afternoon, one moment building clouds and gusts, even sounds of thunder, next moment dissipating clouds and clear Decided to play it safe and wait until Saturday morning. Got up at 5am-overcast, 8am-again building clouds and gusts
Sorry guys, and a big sorry to the tannie who arranged the accommodation, as soon as I have a free weekend and this %&@ weather passes, I'll arrange another fly inn to Rhino to make up
To the guys who had the guts to still fly-inn, thanks for the photo's, I'm extremely envious

Did the Cosmos run on Saturday with Alex. What an experience!
Weather was not as bad as it looked, but by 11:00, it turned nasty
The sight & smell of the Cosmos past Delmas was just spectacular!
Alex took some pretty good pictures, despite a bumpy ride, caused by me
Thanx to Shirley & Rhino Park crew for arranging the breakfast. The burger & eggs went down well after my first flight

Hi All.
To everyone that missed the Cosmos Run....It was Awesome!!!! The weather played along well until the wind picked up. The Temperature was between 16C and 22C up there so now cold hands or runny noses. My pilot, Max from Austria and myself, Elmar from Germany, lifted off around 6.30AM from Microland. We circled around the Fields direction Bronkhorstspruit and found awesome huge fields full of colour. Unfortunately, as I have mentioned, the wind (+-20km/h) shook us around a bit when we did some low flying, but that didn't stop Max at all. He had everything under control and we both had a Blast!!! I was hoping to have sharper Images but the Light didn't play along to well. It always looked like it would rain, but here and there the Sun peeked out behind the Clouds. All I can say, it was a huge adventure and I loved and can't wait for the next Trip.
Elmar and Max
PS: Does anyone know what the Yellow Fields are..Some are Sunflowers. I did post a pic!!
