Guys I need help with some questions.

Blue Max and me will Deo Volente fly from Hippo Pools to Numbi on Thursday morning 27 Sept. If the escarpment is open I would like us to take the scenic route - see google earth pic of track: Hippo Pools - Blyderivierdam with the rondavels and all - Bourkes Luck - Berlin Falls - Lisbon Falls - God's Window - Numbi. About 71 miles - add 5 - 10 miles for the couple of turn-arounds to look again! vhpy vhpy

What bothers me is:

1. I have no clue about minimum altitudes (legally speaking) over this terrain;
2. For the life of me - I cannot comprehend the interaction between Lowveld Information and VFR. When am I supposed to be on which frequency? And do I only report position or seek clearance on Lowveld?
3. Do I have to inform anybody about my intended route beforehand?

Since my childhood days, visiting this area of our country often, I have dreamed of flying over this terrain. Obviously, I don't want anything to spoil my experience now that I have the chance - so any inputs / do's and don'ts /tips will help?

If all goes well we will be overhead Numbi around 08h30 - 09h00! vhpy
