CLIPS, Caps, Cocks, Content, Choke,...............

I never realized how important CLIPS were until I rigged a wing for the first time. Still think a practical wing de-rigging ad rigging exercise should be part of the training.

Oudste jy KAN vlieg, so soek volgende keer eerste die fout by die aerie en nie by jou skills nie

I echo Paul's comments. Rigging and de-rigging of the wing seems to take a back seat. I've still never done it. How can you appreciate the critical parts and check them properly if you've never gone through the exercise?

I would like a rigging course myself as it can only help.

My local instructors dont seem to keen on the idea, even though I offered to pay for their time. Possibly get a group together and hold an instructor down until he agrees? puff

I have done this a couple of times and totaly agree that it should become part of the training course as the firt time I caused a lot of damage to my wing by not knowing.

After a couple of trys I can now do this by myself in about 70 to 90 minutes with no help.

Like engine outs it must be done!!!

Ek praat jou thaal...
