If you are interested, SMS me your cell number and I will send you a "Glypmpse". It is a link to a website that you can access via pc or phone that shows a map with the tracklog and position of the person that sent you the Glympse.

Hi all,
it is with a heavy heart I type this, I will not be joining this weekend as my carbs are shot! Hopefully some one can fill my spot

Okay, rested. Tumbleweed - here follows an account - hopefully this will carry your approval.

Bugwar and myself left Microland at around 16h30. MET confirmed that potential thundercells were dissipating, and cloud cover were breaking up and rising to 8000 AMSL.

We got a few kicks from CB leftovers, but once we cleared the ridges West and Northeast of Kittyhawk, we routed for Rust de Winter, cleared the Wahlmanstall weapon range to the east, and then set our sights for Sibaka.

Since air-traffic was quiet, I took the liberty of speaking my mind on the dedicated frequencies without going through the trouble of changing to 123.45 everytime. This lead to numerous transmissions from myself, peppered with very strong language as I vented all the frustrations incurred over the previous week, related to both work and the frustration of getting my beloved Geel Kerneels back to Microland from Standerton.

Over the last six weeks my Geelstes were parked on the farm - numerous attempts were made to get down there and fly back. Most of these attempts involved my buddy Bugwar, for which I thank him. 'n Regte vriend. After involving my Mom to play taxi, I managed to fly in on Friday morning   in time for Friday afternoon. (^^)

Anyway, I was a bit stressed out, and my radio-work bore evidence of this. Sorry if I offended anybody with my language on TMA East, PTA GF, VFR or Chat - but then again - I support the Bulls en julle weet mos ons is ongeskikte etters.. **

Anyway, from turning west we arrived at Sibaka to a wonderful sight - a 5 star hangar for our trikes. (First come - first serve!) From there we were treated to Krokkkie's normal gasvryheid, warmte en lekker kos. En koue Zamalek's, courtesy of Sakkie, een van die beste barmanne in die land.

Saterdagoggend saw us flying out to Kuduskop, inspecting the construction work on Bugwars' farm, Bugwar racing a truck on the Warmbad pad following my dare, and Bugwar NOT landing on the trucks roof following another dare. ( in all fairness he never come close to the truck - too high - 1000 ft.) ##

Once we picked up radiocalls from inbound traffic we hauled ass back to Sibaka - we did not want to give up our 5 star hangar space! We managed to reclaim our spots in the Trike Sun City before the rest of the guys arived  As jy nie slim is nie moet jy VINNIG wees. (!!)

Hugo (CCM) , Peter Pentz, and the guy with the space capsule vhpy flew in a bit later, followed by Blue Max, Jaco, Marcelle, en Willie met sy Cessna. (Hoop nie ek laat iemand uit nie  ) Bonzai Bell got weathered in at Springs - but still went through the trouble of driving through. (^^)

The rest of the day was spent drinking Zamaleks and watching Rugby. Dodgy weather etc etc.. (^^) Sunday morning 0h600 saw me and Bugwar leaving for a very nice (but slow) flight - arriving at Microland just before the low cloud and gustywinds moved in.

Tumbleweed - is this better? vhpy (^^)

Some pics - hopefully Krokkie will post some more.

O-ja - we also discussed the finishing touches on the coastal fly - away. It was tabled and voted into resolution that Blue Max will buy the first round at Ezulweni. ## That pretty much concluded any outstanding points of discussion on that agenda. Seriously though, watch the relevant thread for final preparations. xxx
