JFK you could always drive in

Landed at Boris's strip a couple of times (just for practice) on Sunday morning. I didn't find it THAT challenging, but then you guys at Middelburg are spoiled with your enormous loooooong wiiiiide runways

Just remember the actual landing place is not the wide green strip on the left, its the narrow one next to it!

It slopes quite a bit uphill and there's no opportunity to do a go around (although its been done) because of the telephone lines at the top of the hill.

I'll be there regardlass of weather. Guys better rock up I spent Sunday afternoon painting the runway markers & markers around the wind sock instead of flying.

Should be about 4 or 5 trikes from petit. Do we need to call Witbank or just vfr traffic??

Always a good idea to broadcast on the Witbank Frequency 123.50 passing to the north or south depending on routing. Benics 124.80

I would stay on 123.5 for Benics, its very close to Witbank airfield - almost in the circuit. Witbank's unmanned so normal unmanned procedures apply. From about 09:00 there's the possibility of paradrops over Witbank, shouldn't interfere with micros at Benics, but please avoid crossing FAWI overhead (unless you want a new cowling ornament or in-flight passenger).

I'm missing it again...

I've decided to paint my baby, so I'm out of action for the next 5 weeks.....

It will hopefully be up and running before the Africa Cup
