Hi Guys; thanks - I can drive to anywhere to be a passenger ..... usually fly out of Microland, Bapsfontein and this week-end from Rhino... I just enjoy the Camaraderie and the FLYING of course...

As suggested last year we put in a request for a dedicated radio frequency to be used on the day of the 14th July 2012.

I have just been informed that our request has been granted . (^^) There will be someone on the ground monitoring 125.6 just in case someone did not read the NOTAM. ## Not long now guys. This is really weird weather for winter so I hope it holds for us.

Herewith NOTAM as requested for your Fly-in

Hi guys.

The weather for this weekend looks uncertain. Herein lies the problem. Should we postpone the fly-in or go ahead and see what happens.
We don't want you guys to be flying in crap weather just to partake in my my delicious pap n gravy. puff
I need some input from you guys.
As you know the Duck and myself will be leaving for Oshkosh on the 20th so that weekend is also out.

What say you.

A little selfish from my side . . . . please postpone . . . . I'm overseas!! (^^)

With that said, WX is not looking good! ## ## ##

http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/heidelberg_airfield

Above link indicates winds in excess of 25 kts for Saturday !! ( Iesh.. )

Hence I have decided to build a machine that can control wind. :)
(Can't guarentee that I will be finished by the weekend.. )

Hellowa - So what has been decided about this Saturday? Happening or not?

Well anyway - I still don't have a back-seat so I may drive; but if not - then y'all have a wonderful fly-in (weather permitting); and enjoy the fire, roll and hot coffee. :)

If you just watched the weather forcast for Saturday you will be left with no doubt that the Fly-in is OFF. :(

I have never seen such a wide front moving across the country in my life.

A lot of people will be put out by this but we can't risk the danger. I'm convinced this is a good call.

As soon as the Duck and myself return from Oshkosh we will set up another date.

Man I'm disappointed. (**)

I'm sure that it will be quite obvious to most but please help get the word out.

Until next time

Hi Freddie
It's the right decision.
WX forecasts all look real lousy for Saturday.
Cheers

WX looks terrible. Good call.

Please organise again after you come back from Oshkosh.

What a pitty. Safe flying.
