WELGELEGEN MANOR EAA FLY-IN BREAKFAST - Saturday 24 March

Postby Biggles of Africa » Mon Mar 19, 2012 4:00 pm

EAA Chapter 322 March fly-in/drive-in breakfast will take place at Welgelegen Manor which adjoins the Rietbult airfield a few kilometres north of the town of Balfour. The airfield is 14 nm SE of Heidelberg. The airfield (5450’amsl) is in good condition. Coords for Rietbult are S26ᵅ 37’ 20” E28ᵅ 36’ 43”
There is unlimited parking right next to the magnificent Herbert Baker designed manor house for planes as well as cars for those folk who chose to drive there. Should you travel by road, follow the N3 past Heidelberg and take the Standerton turnoff (R23) to Balfour and then follow the R51 (Joubert St) through Balfour. The Welgelegen entrance is about 2 km north of the town on the right. Everyone is welcome, but please confirm numbers for catering purposes to Emmie at emmie.oelofse@intekom.co.za or Amelia 083 281 1706
