Revmaster R2300 direct-drive

Postby Jean Crous » Mon Jul 06, 2015 9:38 pm

This 85HP engine is still the best "bang-for-buck" in it`s class. Installed weight is 80kg, dual 20 amp alternators (not belt driven), dual CDi ignition which is self energising ie: the engine can run without a battery. Cockpit controlled mixture via an injector body,( no conventional carburettor with float ). Oil cooler and Stainless steel exhaust included , and also air filter and carb-heat system.
Direct-drive, 4 cylinder, air cooled , horizontally opposed.(This is NOT a VW engine).
All Revmaster R2300 engines are factory assembled, factory test run for 2 hours before shipping. All engines undergo a Dynometer test run to ensure it delivers the rated 85HP at 3200 RPM.
The dyno test is done at 3600 foot above sea level.
The propeller we suggest is a 64 x 34 two blade P-Prop.
Pricing is exchange rate dependent and will include shipping and VAT.

With the USD to the ZAR at R12:82 , this engine landed here with all fees paid will cost R168 815.66. This includes the 4into1 Stainless steel exhaust system , and the alternate air supply with filter. 8)

The Revmaster in my Bushbaby performs very well indeed vhpy
Flying from 400ft ASL at Swellendam on 26deg celcius day with myself 98kg and 75L fuel, I get 1100foot per minute climb at 75mph. My Bushbaby has a clipped wing , so the standard wing should do better. At 3050RPM my Asi reads 118mph. My Asi is not a chinese one, it is certified and was checked by Aircraft Instruments CT.
At a RPM of 2550 the speed returned is 93mph vhpy I use a 64x34 P-prop.
