Postby gertcoetzee » Mon May 05, 2014 3:29 pm

Where do I buy these rubber covers (?name) ? Or do I get it from the agents at a premium?

From the Rotax Illustrated Parts Catalog details as per below (Page 9.3.1 - 2):

Fig No: 13
Part No: 260370
Description: Rubber Grommet
Part per engine: 582UL 2 per carburetor

Got mine from the agents and had to donate an arm and leg. Maybe you can try getting them from Alex (Leppricaun on the forum)

I also recently had a run-inn with these little illusive parts, I ended up using some clear pipe, heated up and slid over the adjustment screws, I know its probably not as good as the original thing but it does work.

We use clear fuel line and it work better and last longer then that original grommets.
When the AP here in Thailand did the yearly checks on my plane he asked me to replace
the grommets with fuel line.

Thanks all. I got some pictures and an explanation "Make your own, cut a 6mm fuel hose approximately 50 to 60mm long and then install over the cable with a cable tie at the bottom and cable tie on the top." Will do that.

Ask Hans Schouten from Microland (zero ate tree for for too for 7 7 5). He uses aerial cable boot rubbers at a fraction of the cost and in different colours....matching your wing sail colour. vhpy I have them on my cables and no problems.
