Rotax 582

Postby flyingdutchman » Mon May 05, 2014 8:52 am

Hallo all

Does anybody recognise this type of engine?
Its a Rotax 582 according to the data plate.

Is it a blue top or silver top,or does it come standard with the RED top?

The 583 has the same water circulation as the 618 and the 582 blue top, also the 583 has the RAVE valves of the 618, and the head is silver vhpy

The engine in the picture looks as if it has been pulled out of a snowmobile (which the 583 really was used for!)

Not a 583...There`s no rave valve, which the 583 has, also 583 is a single ignition, comes from the snowmobiles. this is a Sivertop 582....Water port on cyl.head is side ways...582 Bluetop is side and upwards.---582 mod 90, that is resprayed. Nice looking though..

Without opening it you could also send the serial number to Rotax. They will know what it belongs to.
