Weather - FAA Glider Pilots Handbook Brilliant

I downloaded this PDF file from the US FAA website (to Kindle but it can go straight to computer) and have just fininshed reading it.
Awesome.
As gliders are generally not powered there is a lot of very detailed commentary on efficient flight, weather topics and how to deal with various conditions.
Considering the glider pilots use thermals, ridge soaring (serious updrafts
& downdrafts) as well as looking for wave lenticular clouds
and their associated rotors and turbulance - commentary on these phenomena is very detailed.
Its free and well worth a read. (I battled with some of their termonology and the imperial inches and farenheit etc)
Highly recommended reading in my opinion.
Enjoy.
