MAGALIEBERG WEATHER (in the Aeroden area) for the week ahead:

Comments: Some great flying weather ahead!!! Low wind speed/gusting and no cloud in the mornings! This is the longest period of decent conditions is a while, so be sure not to miss it! Although some high level winds are about on some days (see cautionary below) this is still GREAT flying weather!

CAUTIONARY: Some high level winds on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Check the weather on the day for an update before flying.

Flying conditions are great out there! I had an AMAZING flight with Dish late yesterday (Thu) afternoon . . . . here we are flying along the Crocodile River, heading towards Roodekopjies Dam!

What a Stunning flight it was, thanks .com !!! roodekoppies, marikana, buffelspoort, silver creek, coves, faap and home. brilliant weather, came across a few lads from kroon... wil nog wil wie was in johans se challie - baie mooie gelyk..

Comments: Be careful of low cloud - plan your route carefully and have an alternate AD in event of cloud.

Wind: NE 2-4 knots changing to N 3-3 knots later in the morning.
High-Level Winds: No
Temperatures: 17-28C
Cloud Cover: Yes, some low-level cloud about
Precipitation: A slight chance of some light rain

Comments: Be careful of low cloud - plan your route carefully and have an alternate AD in event of cloud.

Comment: Although Gauteng and North West are currently fairly cloud-free, some low-level cloud along with a possibility of light rain is expected on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

High-Level Winds: Yes, slight easterly winds aloft, although flyable.
Temperatures: 17-29C
Cloud Cover: Some low-level cloud can be expected later in the late afternoon/early evening
Precipitation: Slight chance of rain later in the late afternoon/early evening

Comments: Be careful of easterly wind (gusting 6-12 knots) if taking off or landing on Aeroden 18/36!

Sunday 17th February:

Wind: ESE 5-10 knots decreasing to E 4-6 knots later in the morning.
High-Level Winds: Yes, slight easterly winds aloft, although flyable.
Temperatures: 15-29C
Cloud Cover: Some low-level cloud can be expected later in the late afternoon/early evening
Precipitation: Slight chance of rain later in the late afternoon/early evening

Comments: Be careful of easterly wind (gusting 5-10 knots) if taking off or landing on Aeroden 18/36!

Flew for an hour and a half on sunday evening - probably some of the MOST incredible conditions ive had. Picture perfect, no wind, visibility fantastic,,,, really was awesome.... the last two evenings in JHB have been pretty spectacular as well based on how many stars can be seen in the night sky....
