Cautionary: OD has been converted into a drag racing strip and it is has been clearly demarcated with a "X", meaning "DO NOT LAND"!

With that said, there is enough room beyond the drag racing section for most light aircraft to put down in the event of a precautionary or emergency landing.

If you look closely at the image you can see the drag racing setup on the right hand (eastern) side.

Perhaps others with more knowledge of the airstrip could offer further guidance.

I sponsor this race track and have clearance to land here -- the person you need to contact is IVAN TOLLIE 076 564 4532

he will tell you if there is an event on, and they are only on Sundays ... every second sunday -- but call Ivan to confirm first.

Pleasure man , the runway is hardly used except for the racing which occurs every two weeks Sunday.
