Diverted due WX to FABW this morning. Low cloud and light rain.
Nice runway B&B here in Beaufortwest, decided to night stop.
Will press on tomorrow.

Hi Rick,

How is your trip going, WX not to good in PTA at the moment.

Why is Sarel not flying it back?

Hi Jaco
Sarel got stranded in Stellenboch with a kaput voltage regulator. Took a commercial flt back.
In Gariep now, low cloud and some scud running this am, big CBs around this pm.
Not the best time of year to do this but I am having fun anyway.
Hoping for an early start tomorrow, non stop to Wonderboom if the wx permits.

Landed at Wonderboom at about 11.00 in between showers.
Was a good flight, except for the late start out of Gariep due to the non arrival of my pickup at the B&B there were no issues.
New skill learned was how to get rid of the recycled coffee on a 4 hour sector at FL095, it involves a funnel, an extention pipe, an empty 2lt bottle and calm air

Ya i had the same thing in Capetown bringing the Bantam back.My pick up to the airfield was still at a party from the night before when he was supposed to fetch me to get that early start to get over the mountains, when he did arrive eventually the drive to the airfield was more scary than the six hrs accross the Karroo. I tried the geriatric nappy technique for the wee problem- didnt really work.... ah well..my trick is to slip into some dry shorts before i land!
Go well,
