Hi Guys.
At the beginning of next month I need to fly my trike from Melorani wildlife preserve in the Northwest to Kroon airfield, to have the annual inspection done. I fly an Aquilla 582. I put the route into vfr planner as a straight line and it seems to be pretty simple, not changing radio frequency much (the only change being Aeroden/Aviators paradise, unless I skirt it). Can you guys please have a look and see if there is anything to be on the look out for and any tips or advice?
Thanks very much.
Brad

There shouldn't be any change for either of those and nor for kroon. Theyre all on 124.8 ?/

Yes, perfect! Your flight plan looks fine. 124.800 all the way!SAwonderer wrote:Thanks John.

Remember, Kroon circuits are both AWAY from the mountain!
For your interest, I am including some reporting points and ADs in the area (kmz files for Google Earth) which you can report your position from once in the area, remembering that this area north of the Magaliesberg mountains is fairly active insofar as training goes!
Safe flying, John

One final note, the last few miles (about 5-6 miles, looking at your routing) flying into Kroon are in Johannesburg Special Rules WEST, so frequency 125.800. So although a very short hop, you should be reporting when transitioning into JSRW, then reverting back to 124.800 for your approach into Kroon.
Cheers, John
