Maintenance of Competency

Postby GoldenWings » Sat Apr 01, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi all

I need some info / guidance from you

I emailed this letter below to CAA's licensing dept. but with no response yet!

I am the holder of a single engine VFR Commercial licence. I'm not flying full time at this stage, but need to maintain competency in order to qualify for my annual flight test / renewal of my licence. (CPL)

I have the opportunity to hire and fly a LSA - Cheetah (CTAH), wich I already have on my licence.
I did 30 hours back in my training days for hour building towards my CPL on the Cheetah, because it is much cheaper to fly.
I want to know if I can still use any LSA Cheetah to maintain my yearly hours to be flown for CPL?

Thank you for your time!

The LSA hours are 1:1. I maintain my PPL this way. There might be additional requirements for the CPL like IF etc but as for the normal 5 or 10hours yes the LSA counts
