Modified KR2 project SOLD

Postby Henni » Tue Sep 23, 2014 8:04 am

Hi all,

My work finished after nearly ten years with the same company. I am already past 60 & we are relocating to more affordable accommodation. We are also going into full time ministry. I do not have a place to house or complete this project where we are going & hence am putting her up for sale. Also, at this stage we intend to focus all of our attention on His ministry. I'd rather use this money to sustain ourselves for just a little longer.

It is a modified KR2. This project is not for the faint hearted & will require a real go-getter to complete. I have spent quite a bit of money & time on it, but I'll let go for what I paid originally for it before the spending started. Read everything about it here. Pics & thread says it all. Based at The Reeds, Pretoria.

NOTE: Total price reduced by R10 000.

New price R25 000 firm for everything, else R15 000 for the airframe & R10 000 for the complete engine with the current brand new prop.

Hi my vriend,

Groete,

Henni

Hi everyone,

Just out of interest - I made a mistake in my calculated price, however I'll not change it. I purchased this unfinished KR2 fuselage only for R25 000 & the engine/prop for R15 000. So my total price for everything is actually R5 000 less than my original purchase price & yet it includes all other parts like wood, new wheels with brakes, aluminium etc. that I've purchased in the meantime. I'm sure I've spent around just under R10 000 on this project by now. Thus I'm in effect taking a R15 000 knock on this one apart from the elbow grease already spent on it. I'm convinced that this is indeed a good buy for the new owner, if any.

This would most certainly be the one item that I'm definitely taking with if it does not sell soon. I see at one stage this KR2 fuselage only was advertised for R50 000. I'll give it another two weeks, then I'll transport to our new accommodation at the South coast. Luckily it does not take up more space than an ordinary car, so I can store it neatly under the carport, right next to our sound trailer & one of our vehicles. I'll make a bracket that holds each wing to the side of the fuselage & cover everything neatly with thin plastic.

Cheers all,

Henni

Hi again everyone,

I have just been informed that my cut off date at work has been postponed for at least a few more months. This is very, very good news indeed. I've now committed myself to the sale of this project to two interested parties already. Please take note that, just out of decency, I intend to give this opportunity for someone else to take it over from me another two weeks, and then I'm going to tackle it in full swing again & see if I can complete it before I'm finally done over here.

Keep well all,

Henni

Hi again everyone,

We have already taken two trips of our stuff from Pretoria to Port Edward. Our boat sold yesterday & the new owner is elated with it. Despite all my hopes to finish this project over here, the landlord where we stay now found new tenants and we have to be out by end November.

I have made arrangements with the flat owner where we are moving to, to store this unfinished project in his yard. However, this is not really ideal. This is therefor one last attempt to find someone with vision to take over this project & to complete it to flying status. There is REALLY not that much work left till completion.

Our furniture is moving on 28th November. I intend renting a trailer to move this project either this coming weekend or the next one if no real interest shown. I have not the foggiest idea if she would ever be completed after that.

Just so you know...

Hi,

Thank you my friend, PM received. Yes, she can still be viewed in Pretoria. I'll wait just a little longer before I move her to the South Coast. However, she'll have to go latest the weekend just before 28th November.

All the best,

Henni

Hi my friend,

We just stopped in Port Edward with the plane on a trailer. Doubt if he'll come so far to see it. Next I'm bringing the Mizer. So he's welcome to contact me if he sees fit to drive so far to look and maybe even fetch.

Thank you so much for your message.

Kind regards mate,

Henni
