Hi
Just out of curiosity .... how much difference do the winglets make? are they worth the odd R3K?

Re: Raptor Trike
As per Kloot
"I speak from experience when the first winglets came out for hang gliders. I had my wing for about a year before winglets came out.
The most noticable effect was the neutral position of the control bar. With the winglets fitted in neutral flight, the control bar was 50mm back compared to neutral flight without winglets. In simple terms this means that the wingtips are producing more lift (or, for that matter, less drag) with winglets. Less drag = economy or higher speeds.
Other noticable effects were no yawing anymore at high speed and a slightly lower stall speed, or for a better description, more manuevrability at slow speeds.
I also cannot recall that crosswinds had any detrimental effect on take-off or landing."

Once again, a really awesome trike
