Hi Vaughn.
Just curious. How come you are selling after just getting it from Jean? It certainly looks nice. With the 618, It should certainly go like hell.
Cheers,
Vernon.

At that price it should have at least an ATF. Will be a couple of G's to get there..(test pilot, fuel, hassles with CAA...)
I've seen Challengers selling recently way less...
Good luck with the sale.

Re: Challenger II LSS (Brand New 0 Hrs) c/w Recon 618 Rotax
Hi Vernon,
It was a straight swop with Jean for one of the original Kit Foxes they had brought into SA initially, so it was more about a love for flying & the aircraft than just a commercial consideration (Something most so called "AVIATORS" today know about.
My old man passed away last year & I've only just got the guts to sell it now. So maybe I'm putting too much value to it (See Induna) but I know what they're worth as I've flown 3 different models over the years. Maybe the motor is a discontinued model, but that is only because Rotax got cold b***s when they saw it was going to stuff up their 4 stroke sales. Listen, I'm open to negotiations to anyone who's actually got some interest in flying a very lekker aircraft. Anyone who wants to have a chat is more than welcome to contact me at either Vaughn@worldofworkwear.co.za or (072) 643-5828 & at work (011) 454-4717.

I had one, the LSS version with the 582, it's a mini jet, fantastic to fly. I have seen 110 mph indicated a few times. Can imagine what it is going to be like with the 618!!

It is true that its a brand new aerie, i just think its todays market that dictates the price. No harm meant!

I just think it is good thing to bring some new stock in as well. Look at the Trike market. Only Trikes available are all high hours. What is it going to be like in another 5 years time. I agree with Jacques that the market determines the price BUT, we will have to start to look at buying newer planes to replenish the market.
Sorry for Hi Jack...

Re: Challenger II LSS (Brand New 0 Hrs) c/w Recon 618 Rotax
Hi Guys,
From the beginning Jean said to me that I shouldn't sell this aerie & I just read his post where he said it's Jammer I'm selling, so in hindsight, maybe a share deal would be a better alternative if someone is interested. I'll be honest, work doesn't allow me a lot of spare time which was the prime reason I was going to sell. Also, I wouldn't be able to utilise the Challenger to the extent it should be by someone who was really passionate about it. So if someone with access to convenient hangerage, a "lus" for flying & who has the time to finish off the last bits wants to give me a shout to talk a deal, feel free as I'm open to it at the moment. And thanks to all for the comments, it's appreciated. Also considering the challenges with regard to keeping this aerie maybe I should think about it in fishing terms "If it wasn't a challenge, it would be called catching not fishing". By the way the hardest part is that my fly rods & kit would fit perfectly in the aerie & open up vast opportunities. Think of flying into Rhodes for a couple of days, then flying around to the Midlands, Wakkerstroom, Dullstroom & back!! What a trip.
