A short update : We had quite an influx of maintenance and repair work from customers, and two aircraft projects for clients to finish. We have in-between the other jobs started covering the tail-groups of the Renegade and the Maverick. Next week we will post some photos.

:D We have this morning finalized the design of the flap lever for both the Renegade and the Maverick. As soon as it is manufactured I will post some photos of it. The flap lever will be to the left of the pilot in the roof area, so the pilot will raise his left hand off the throttle , upwards 8 inches and have the flap lever in hand. The right hand stays on the joystick and operates the trim and the PTT.
Slotted flaps will deploy to 30 deg max.

Here are some pics of what our flap lever will look like and how it is positioned in the cockpit.Next is to manufacture the actual item and see how it works in real life

This has taken a bit longer than expected as we did have some delays, now we are well under way and here are some photos of the actual product . Next we will connect the lever mechanism to the wing and the flap itself . Then we will use a protractor to set the angle of the flap, and then only make the position indent at the lock-pin slide, for the given flap angle setting.[/attachment]

I have a problem with my PC and have asked my friend V5-LEO to post some photos of our progress. The tailgroup has been covered and rigged, the electric horizontal stab trim has been fitted and tested after some modifications. Tomorrow we manufacture the baggage box and baggage door. This aircraft has a baggage door on the starboard side , for access to the baggage area.Today we ordered the aluminium sheets for the cladding of the wings. As we progress more photos will be uploaded.

Here are some photos to show how usable our baggage area is. A door on the right-hand side gives access to the baggage area. As can be seen a 25L can fits through the access door, and fits neatly in the baggage area. The adjustable horizontal stabilizer takes care of trim issues.

Some photos of our progress to follow. We are building a Maverick and a Renegade simultaneously, so the differences will become more evident between the two models.

Some more photos of our progress, inspection holes measured out, and hard points fitted with the inspection covers made. Three cotes Nitrate sprayed on. One pic shows the 6061 wing skins for the Renegade, the Maverick will still have a fabric skinned wing. Next is Silver Butyrate.
