She is really a beut, i can hardly believe that wing is so big but it is just small jobs now and then she is ready to fly again. :lol: :lol:

Hi All

Did some work over the holidays and i have the following pic's to add. Now all i need is somebody with a Mig welder that can do some stainless welding for me and then i will be on SHORT finals for Completetion :lol:

Yes there is still alot of work to be done tapes to be added etc but the pic's will give you a basic idea of how she will will look.

Hi Ian

Yea i have decided to make her Electric Blue very similar to the Pic below. I have had this idea for a long time and a guy in Canada Copied it and i think it looks real cool

Thanks for your welkom on that thread.
I am following your build with interest.
:oops: Might have been mentioned previously but what covering are you using, Monty's polyfibre?
Do you know those VW engines well? I have heard good and bad reports and would like your opinion on thier reliability, do's and don'ts etc.

HI Mogas

In my personal opinion VW motors are very reliable, the biggest problem is in the assembly, you do a good job and they will run for very long time with very little maintenance. Make a small bobo with putting her together she will die a horrible sudden death and sometimes destroying herself in the process.

They do not have the power that alot of people say they do have but with a reduction box and all that they can give ample power for a small light aircraft. Give me a call and we can chat sometime.

Hi All

Just a new update, pic's will follow when i get back at work and get ontop of all the paper-trail.

I have completed the Ailerons with the Rib stitching, ready for Nitrate/Butrate etc

Busy with the right wing rib stitching etc but now have run outa glue, so getting there.

I stole some time while on PETERNITY leave to also check on my Trike. Replacement wing and alot more has her also nearly ready to fly again so all starting to look more positive.

Ok OK

So it is not my VP but i have been working hard to get the trike finished and ready to go. Thursday the 1st March i will be at CAA to get the Authority To Fly and then it is test flight time.
