Please see http://avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewtopic.php ... 9#p1961976 We have taken over the Zodiac 601XL project started by the late Dirk Nordhoff. Purchased by Reinhard Losch and sold to us. Thanks Dirk and Reinhard. We collected and transported from Springs to Cape Town. LT stands for Lance and Tyrone! Dirk has done a great job so far with all the upgrades. Some pics as it was when we acquired it.

Finally getting to work on the 601.
Redid the workshop floor, table, electrics and lights. JN-1 moved to the hanger and the 601 moved in.
Corrosion coated some parts. Opened the rudder for inspection and riveted it closed.

Some times you just make a fun part just because... Made a plug, made a mould, made a nose cone! wonder how balanced it is? think I'll try one in carbon

More than satisfied with the seats and panel. Also made the throttle quadrant.

Fitting the canopy has to be the most stressful. Cutting fitting. cutting fitting. cutting fitting. but it is done.
All control cables in and working. Progress with a smile.
