Okay chaps... so things are finally starting to happen!

Thanks to Mike T for the engine mount and mother adaptor - sorted. Now just the trip up to come and collect.

I have started the familiarisation in the Commander 112 and what a step up from a Jab or 172. All of a sudden every possible system must be done.... Undercarriage, VP prop, mixture, Turbo charger, Cowl flaps - far cry from the simplistic fun factor of a Cheetah ;-)

We gonna do a fun nav rally on Saturday in the 112 and am so looking forward to it.

So, been thinking, apart from the 618 option, there is a 583 option (now there's a thought) and an expensive option of a Simonini Victor 2 S (110hp) ... all in good time!

Watch this space!

Nkwazi and I fetched ZU-CMT from Ludie in Middelburg. Thanks bro...

I brought torrential rain to the Gauteng region so it did pose some challenges.... on inspecting the frame and bits, I made a judgement call at the Rainbow/Skyreach factory which may cost more but... it was the right thing to do.

Walter, Mike and the boys are going to take care of the old bird and I know it will be done to perfection, not only because this is Cheetah Serial No 1 - from whence all the Cheetahs, XLS and Bushcats find their origin, but also the professional and friendly manner of the team. She will be dissected, prodded, squeezed and pinched during the stay and knowingly will emerge - REVITALISED. I have dubbed her Genesis 1:1 or Genesis 121 if you like.... and will be branded somewhere. Why you ask.... well it refers to the creation.... "In the beginning....."

Duck Rogers is getting the motor to look after and have decided to stick with the 582 for now. Jabiru motors are getting ## ## ## in Australia and have shelved the possible idea of popping a 3300 up front.

I have only returned home with the instrument panel which will be stripped of usable instruments (for the new panel) and then creatively be used as a decoration in The Stirrer's Cockpit (^^)
