RV 8 Rebuild

I have sold my Citabria and the new owner said they will post on the Citabria rebuild page.

I have found my dream plane, I must just rebuild it.
So here we go :wink:

Baie geluk Goose!

Die skade lyk nie so erg nie, behalwe dat die brandblusser weg is :shock: Die res lyk nog heel OK en maklik herstelbaar :roll: Hoe lyk die enjin en prop?

Hi Thys

Dit lyk nie so erg nie, maar omtrent als voor die spar is gebuig. Het die nodige parte van Vans af gekry.

Die prop shop kon die prop regmaak op die airie(net die punte het grond geraak) so ek het nie nodig om shock-load op die engin te doen nie.

Baie skade is seker gedoen toe hulle die ou se been losgekry het

Dis n stertwiel as jy sit en snot pik gaan hy jou n les leer :twisted: . Het gaan gras sny langs Kimberly se baan na n dwars wind dinge omgekrap het :evil:

Op die foto kan mens nie sien waar die pilot se voet vasgesit het nie, en ook nie of daar dalk 'n beter manier was om die arme mens se voet /been daar uit te kry met minder skade aan die vliegtuig nie. Maar dit lyk nogal woes dat hulle die vliegtuig moes opkerf om die been uit te kry :shock:

Is daar groot struktuur skade of is dit beperk tot "skin, panels and bulkheads"? (Behalwe die onderstel en die monteerpunte daarvan natuurlik). Is die onderstel aan die spar vas of voor die spar op sy eie montering?

Al die geknip was verniet :( hulle het die 8 opgelug en die onderstel terug getrek tot daar genoeg plek was om sy voet uit te kom. Die skade is nie te erg nie (skins,rips en so aan)

Dankie tog die onderstel het sy eie box struktuur en is nie deel van die spar nie.
