Today was very interesting... Got to fly in different weather condition on the same day, from quiet smooth air in the morning, to crosswinds in the ealry afternoon, turbulance at noon and super smooth air before sunset...! This was an awesome day!

The aircraft handles all conditions very good and I am now well aquinted with the tailwheel handling. Did about 10 hours already and not miss a single beat!

With some minor prop adjustment I got the climb rate to a solid 1300fpm. I also installed two static vents and now the stall is at 45 mph and the ASI corresponds with the GPS.

I did not install the VGs yet and dont know if i have to... I will try to get a couple more hours in before the weekend, but it seems like there is a front moving in, so bad weather predicted..

Happy flying!! vhpy

Hi,

Oom Piet is making me a nice 68x61 prop, based on the calculations he did for the engine/airframe combination. I am very excited to see the final product and try it out...

Just one week to go then I can fly her again...

After discussion with oom Piet he is busy manufacturing a 72x57 prop for the Raven. Can't wait to test it..!

Hi,

I've added another 4 hours with the Raven the past two days. Total time now 22 hrs and counting. Also been testing the autopilot, and it behaves well. Well done to Rainier for such a good product.

This morning I also tested main gear landing handling. The Raven responds well to rudder input, which was a concern at first, but It has proven itself by now...

Currently I am only adding some finishing touches to the aircraft. I got my new leather seats and they look great!
