Foam blocks glued over the engine. Sanding, sanding, sanding, you know the story.

Been slow this winter. Cape weather not conducive to fibre glassing or painting AND we bought Cubby ZU DWY!
Have however completed the wiring, installed the engine and test run it!

Made a split mould from the plug. Came out with same imperfections which I will sand out later. Very happy with the results.

I asked about this on the other forum but maybe best to continue here.

So I see that it is built from plans thats great and just what Im looking for. But
Are there other type currently flying in SA ?
Who did you get as AP on your project ?
Instructors for type conversion ?

I think this is such a sexy little number

Thanks
CRT

Hi Lance,

Apologies for being upfront. I intend to mount my engine much the same you did, however I'm completely out of scrap aircraft grade material as I did not think I'll ever build again.

Would you please be so kind as to inform me where you purchased the aluminium, 4130 tubing and engine vibration rubbers from. Will save me a lot of time.

Kind regards,

Henni

I took over the project in it's early stages and all necessary aluminium and some 4130 tubing came with it. The engine vibration rubbers were purchased with the engine. Further 4130 tubing I purchased from MS Engineering Cape Town.
