Sadly we have decided not to fly this aircraft. Was great fun to complete but after mush discussion and deliberation we will take it no further.

do you mind elaborating? is it a design issue, construction issue or poor safety record for the type?

its a pity since its a nice looking plane and you must have put in a lot of time and effort to get this far only then to pull the plug? :cry:

Yes I can.
The plane is of foam and fibreglass construction with minimal wood frames.
We have not been able to find any examples which are still flying although the are a few upgraded versions in the states known as the flying squirrel.
I recently lost my brother in a plane crash and definitely don't wish to join him.

Takes a lot of guts to face the facts like that! Great candidate for honourary member of the "live cowards club" which was started by Jim Davis (as often referred to on Avcom)

I am sure you will get lots of safe enjoyment from the other project you are busy with
