Yeah ... Went down this road some time ago. I couldn't find an Argon cylender for sale anywhere.
The rental isn't so bad though. R 70 per month. There is nothing to stop you from returning the cylender the next day.

Alba Gas and Welding in Sabenza. I believe they have a branch on the west rand too.
