If you keep posting photos of elephants in your kitchen it is just to perpetuate the belief that we all have lions walking around in our backyard!

Nice build progress btw...going to be a beautiful aircraft for flying in that area especially if you go with the large tundra tires.

Thanks Scotman , ya dont think a Lion at the back door will be as friendly as the elephant
Must apologize for not keeping my page updated , been lazy no excuses, will get more photos posted today which will bring it up to date.
Could anyone building a 750 send me a copy of the page showing the wing strut mounting brackets and the page showing dimensions for these brackets as I would like to fit the streamlined structs to my 701(plans building) but dont want to re-invent a mounting bracket rather use same mounting bracket from the 750 build plans.
Thx

Just a quick point , you mentioned using the Tundra tyres, which I have got, this is first choice tyre but the guys here with the Savanhas are have huge problems with punctures so we switching to the 600x6 general areo tyre which has proved to be more practical in our enviroment here in zim.

Nice progress there.....wonder if the normal tyres have a thicker wall to them thus giving less punctures?

Yes I think they must have as the guys that have them fitted are reporting no more punctures, guys still using the tundra type tyre are now always carry 2 cans of tyre weld with them.

Build update.
The Wings
Have now started making the parts for the wings, lots of repetitive parts to be made but every part made is a step closer, one hopes!
Whilst I am making the various part I will submit an order to zenith for materials to complete the spar, whilst waiting for the order to arrive I also have to make up the 4 fuel tanks so lots to do before the wing actually starts to come together.Pics to follow soon

Hi there Ray

The build is coming along well. I stumbled across a web site on Viking Aircraft Engines, have you heard of them? Have just read up briefly on them and they look good and are considerably cheaper than the Rotax equivalent. Check them out and do some research as a possible power plant for your build. Cheers.

Hijack on:
@Station Kariba,
Be careful of Viking for a bit, they having very bad feedback lately regarding service. Motor is good, but there 6 week leadtime is more like 6 months... maybe give it some time to settle again, could be bigger demand than they could handle.

Also there "confirmed rumours" about local motor launching soon... ~130hp.....

Here are a few photos of the parts I am currently making for the wings, lots of the same parts to make. Also started making up the 4 fuel tanks, will post a few photos of this once all the bending is done.Need to do some test bending first on scrap ali before bending the real tank material.

Hi All, been awhile since I updated my progress , the build continues am averaging approx 10-12 building hours per week. This is mostly done during the weekday evenings, so here is the update.
Whilst waiting for my next order from Zenith for materials to build the Main Spar I have been busy making various parts for the nose gear/controls/fuselage.
Here with a few photos of parts recently made
