Just got back from the hangar after a decent 4 hours of graft but we ran out of varnish again and had to stop another 150ml and both wings would have been complete  . Seems we are gathering steam now and will do another few hours tomorrow and possibly Friday aswell.

Over the weekend most of the replacement Alu parts were manufactured, wheels breaks serviced. Need to make a list of al the bolt sizes so that I can get all the correct AN bolts then we can start rigging this up again.

Trev, that new door looks awfully tight. I think it needs to have about a 2mm gap. Remember wood expands and contracts PLUS there's varnish and paint still to come :?:
Looks good so far. !!!!

Shoewee what a night just got home at 2am  some decentwork done tonight. All doors and window cut pre fitted and the final fit all done. Also skimmed 2.5mm off of the bottom and front/back of the door before I did the window for it. I need to get a heat gun tomorrow and heat the plexiglass slightly to get the top bend in the front windscreen then all window work is 100% complete.

That is nice and classic hey, but yes I did have a colour scheme in mind. See the original STD Horizon 1 loks pritty similar to a Citabria in its lines ( exept for the rudder but I was going to do a slightly different rudder with less angle on the TE ) so I was going to do the red/white citabria scheme. But now that the AP has said he is happy with me keeping the Super Koala tail which was built we end up with pritty much a Cub replica add to that the fact that the VW engines heads will pop out the sides of the cowl and its a pritty close replica prob closer than the Cubbys are ( jammer manne  ). Thats the Fuz now ifyou look at the wings well they arent as long as th J3 but pritty close on the outline of a super Cub. So its going to be a tossup between a classic super Cub scheme or a simple J3 yellow scheme. I am leaning towards a yellow J3 Scheme a bit more I think its very nostalgic. On the toys well its not hard to get distracted in the hangar
lol. here are some pics of the Ideas I had and now have.
