I had a terrible "building week" last week but plan to play some catch-up this week. The nose rib brackets are complete and the right wing skeleton is well underway. I now need to organise my wing strobes before I skin the wing. I also need to install a fuel sender unit on each wing tank (the thought of which keeps me up a night - something about cutting into a perfectly good fuel tank that scares me).

The guys on the build video build the wing on a pair of steel tressles (saw horses). Anyone know where I can buy these? I have been to most of the big hardware stores, but can only find the cheap pine ones. I would like to build both wings in tandem to save on time.

Almost forgot - anyone know what you can use to fill in the rivet dimple. I heard of a product that is sold in a syringe that works well but for the life of me can't remember its name. I know filling in a few thousand rivet heads is going to be tedious, but I think well worth it in the end. (**)

Another milestone complete - finished construction of the wing skeleton (both wings). Now I need to disassemble, debur, clean, prime and rivet together.

The wing skeleton is held together with A5 Rivets (the big ones). I may need to organise some more black A5 clecos - used every last one I have. :?

Wing skeleton finished - will rivet together tonight. I'm glad I kept all the wrapping paper to use when spraypainting.

I also have to figure out where I am going to store the wings when they are finished. Not sure if there is enough space in my garage - the wings are huge! :o :o :o :o
