The plan was to start this weekend But, had some affirmative shopping at home on Thursday night. They caused a lot of damage which I had to fix over the weekend. Will start during week, then take through to Trevor for wing assembly and CAA inspection.

Hi All
Had an incident with my car about 3 weeks ago and the T/B project has been standing since. I am promised my car on Thursday so will have transport to the field this weekend.
The holdup before this was the Starter. I have taken it in to Auto Electrician for Service/Cleanup. Need to pick it up as soon as I have wheels. Will fit this Saturday and all ready to start. Wiring all sorted. Will start this weekend, do run ups to check for Fuel leaks etc.

If All OK, she is ready to go to Trevor for Wing fitment and CAA inspection and Test Flight. NOT LONG NOW.

Will keep you posted on Monday.

Hi Air Hog,

Glad to see you are moving again on this project. Seems like you had a bit of bad luck along the way but surley that is over and you will not be bottle fed any more as the triplet of Raquel Welsh. Can't wait to hear how your engine performs when you test her.
How is CLR doing, are you flying her yet - I am missing her alot she such an amazing aerie. I am setteling into the fatboy now but it has been an adjustment - also a beaut but a bit lazy 2 up even at the coast which CLR was not - anywhere, just a good combination of all things.
Good Luck with the Thunderbird and I hope the BM engine kicks ass.
Cheers
Chris

Air hog everything takes twice as long as planned . The BM will have plenty power for the Thunderbird. I found her to have more power then the 912S I took a prop of a 912S and fitted it to my BM and the engine ran away with the prop that was taking prop speed and all the calculations .In my case she went right to the rev limiter. My engine on the Bosvark is now smooth as silk. After my episode in Namibia the new adapter plate is a success. I'm following your project it is good to see.

Good luck .

Hi Chris
CLR is an absolute Gem, even up here she climbs like a homesick angel. Haven't completed my conversion yet as I had some bad luck as well as some bad weather and so, was out of the aviation scene for almos 5 weeks.
I am now back in the saddle and the Thunderbird must now get in the air. Must also complete my Conversion to the Jabi.

Safe flying.

Hi Air Hog,

So glad to hear CLR is performing very well, agreed she is a Gem. Hope you will get your conversion soon - then you will feel her perform like a little sports car when flying solo.
Good luck with both the conversion and getting the Thunderbird where it belongs in the air.
Chris
