Hi

Beautiful plane Boet!!

I am new to the forum and I would like to know the following.
What tools would I need to complete a Safari build I am getting my workshop
in shape but to be honest havent decided on the plane yet, Safari or RV12
they seem to be good value for money.

Die Turbi smeek al lank vir aandag. Dis tyd dat ek n mes in sy fabric indruk, maar dit sal soos moord wees. Tenminste het ek darem nou n ander speelding, so sal hopelik nie wortels aan my crocks se sole groei nie. Goose, MORE. Die risiko om my errie op te dinges is net te groot, so: Patience, my dear friends, is one of the virtuous of life. If the weather plays along, tomorrow is going to be da big day. Keep yer thumbs up and your fingers crossed!!! vhpy VERTICAL TAXI DAY.

I have to tell you guys, the prop that Oom Piet made for me is awesome. It is as smooth as a 3 blade, but puts out heaps of thrust. it is a work of art, and the biggest part of my attempt to make this one into a 100 MPH aeroplane. Baie dankie my ou groot mater, jy MAG maar propellers maak!!!!! Bennie asked me a while back: What propeller would I prefer for my own plane. My answer was: 1St P-Prop......2nd P-Prop.....3rd P-Prop, an as dit nou wragtig NIE anders kan nie, I will have to ask Oom Pieta to carve me another one! If I become REALLY stranded, the ONLY 3 blader that I like would be a GSC, but then only after having conferred the facts with Oom Piet. So BEEEG feather on Oom`s cap. 3 Huge HURRAYS for our propeller making druid! (^^) (^^) (^^)

So this morning dawned bright and sunny. Ideal day for test flying a new aerie. And fly it did . The take-off was VERY short. I measured afterwards, and it was airborne in 50 meters. No wind. climb is impressive at 650-700fpm. I have done no cruise testing as yet, but it feels fast. ( The ASI is a bloody liar!) Softness was on ground trying to take pictures of maiden flight. Ferkin batteries, so she grabbed the cellphone. Crap quality, but at least we tried. Ground handling is now very precise. The aerie flies 100% straight, hands and feet off. I had to cut the test flight short, because the main gear wwas slipping on it`s shaft. NOT nice to hear, but the plane flies great, even with the prop stopped. So tonite, have a cold `un on us.
