I declared war against weight with this aeroplane. The prop is a bit special, and I am going to do a bit of an aerodynamic cleanup. I belief, that the lighter they are, the better they fly. Putting too many instruments in these planes are really stupid. It just adds weight and complexity...... but I am digressing. My aim is to get this baby as close to an honest 100mph aerie as I can. It is possible. The aeroplane is now basically complete. All the bits and pieces need to be assembled. The scales will tell the story. vhpy

Some useless info....

About ten years ago they did a streetbike top end shootout in England. They tested the top ten bikes, and the fastest bike over 1 mile had the SEVENTH highest horsepower on that day. The secret - the owner spent serious time cleaning the aerodynamics of the bike - the screen to fairing fitment, every bolt and nut that stuck out, the calipers, brake hoses, etc, etc.

Small changes has huge effects at 100mph.

I am now nearly there. Today the flapperons is to go on, and some small items need to be tended to, and she will be ready for flight.

Bou julle 'n hele vliegtuig in minder as 'n maand?

(^^) (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)
