Wow (**)
We did some serious taxiing, all went well, but we saw some oil on the gearbox and prop on each fast run.
A nipple was added to the vent as we thought the oil was being sucked from the breathing point, on the nipple we put
a transparent tube, but the casing still had oil on it. On closer inspection we found the gearbox casing being porous   . We took it off immediately, to be sent back to the supplier, ordered another from a more renowned supplier and is now still waiting for the latter. Wagtail wouldn't help us. ## ##
Hopefully we will have the new gearbox by the end of the month. It has been a waiting game all along, but we're still under a year in development!
Soon we will kiss the skies xxx

Almost There,
Thanks to all involved at CAA, RAASA and our AP (Johan) from Rustenburg for his extra inputs we've received our temp. ATF in record time! vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy
We did our first tests at ODI and what a blast! vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy
After some crow hops and one flight we packed up to do some small adjustments, will be back next weekend for some serious testing!
No stats available at this stage, but the "ToyoCobra ZU CSS" sure has some serious power! It Takes off with a blast and one's got to refrain from putting foot when taking off.

Some fodies below.

Hi Sout

She is flying, allmost every day now, depending on weather .... 8)

We are based just north of Brits, North West province. Give me a shout and we'll talk.

We are planning to fly in to the Zwartkops fly-day on the 2'nd of October, maybe we will see you there .... :)

Hi Jaco
A few questions if I may.
Anny figures on fuel consumption?
Did you use the original radiator of the cobra for the Toyota engine?
Anny problems with overheating with the radiator in that position?
What was the total gain in weight from your previous balance sheet when the 582 was installed?
How much did the prop move back away from the frame with this engine in comparison with the previous installation?
Does the trike give any indication of trying to swing\turn (with the prop)because of the bigger torque\power of the bigger engine when going at full throttle?
Thanks
Gompou
